教學目標

在使學生經由人類學觀點與方法,深入探討宗教

課程綱要：(含每週授課進度)

  以學期18週計，當充分利用其中的16週之授課時間，分講授以下項目：

  一、導論（包括人類學及其文化概念，其對人類學之探討方法，諸如整信論、比較法等）

 二、宗教性質（作為文化之一部份，其所包含之社會意義，諸如世界觀價值體系；宗教本身為一象徵體系，誦經固為其中之一種，此外如手勢、姿態、物件等等，亦可成為象徵體系之一部分；再者宗教為超自然存在之信仰，究竟具有何種標準？始終是人類學中爭論焦點）

 三、宗教起源有功能學派、心理學派等理論，但如以地域劃分，則又有所謂的英、美及歐洲大陸諸學派。本課擬分別介紹各派之代表人物及其理論要點，如B.Malinowski,A.R.Radcliffe-Brown,E.Ddurkheim,L.H.Morgan,F.Boas,L.Spiro,A.Golden-weisen,P.Radin,R.Firth等

 四、宗教與巫術：宗教為對超自然力之祈求，巫術則是對超自然力之控制。但兩者作為社會現象，往往互相滲透，甚或具有互補作用。本課程擬探討巫術之存在和社會與法律正式控制體系與非正式控制體系之間的關係。

五、宗教的功能：宗教並不如Malinowski所想像，僅是滿足某種個人的心理慾求，他事實上為整個社會提供了某種行事準則。此外，本課亦擬討論宗教與治療，世界主要宗教及其內涵、地理分布等。

宗教人類學

　　　　授課大綱

一.  主旨

本科主旨,在經由人類學研究,對宗教現象作深入探討。其特色是使理論與實際相結合,概念出自世界各地的田野調查,除重視事實之發掘與探討之外,兼作不同文化之比較研究,以突顯研究論點之客觀性。

 

二.  程序

本科除課堂講授之外,並輔以視聽教育與田野實習。授課內容大致可分以下各點:導論、宗教的性質、宗教的起源、宗教與巫術、宗教的功能、宗教與醫療等。

 

三.  教材

教材分指定教材及參考書籍兩類,均見附件。前者為課業較常使用材料,後者主要用於深入研究時的參考。

 

四.  考核

期中考試:：40%（以讀書報告為準）

期末考試：40％（以讀書報告為準）

平時表現：20％（以平時出席及課堂表現為據）
