Travel Information

Symposium participants are expected to make their own travel arrangements to and from Fo Guang University, Jiaosi, Taiwan. For visitors from the Japan, US, European Countries, the best strategy is to consult with other colleagues in your university that are familiar with making travel arrangements to Taiwan. They will recommend a local travel agent in your city who will typically give you better fares than what you can find on online travel sites such as Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity.

Direct to Taiwan (Taoyuan International Airport):

We recommend that you fly directly to Taotyuan International Airport with the following Airlines:

• Lufthansa (from Frankfurt)

• NW/KLM (from Amsterdam)

• Singapore Airlines (from Singapore)

• ANA, JAL (from Japan)

• Korean Air (from Seoul, Korea)

• Delta, American Airlines (from USA)

• British Airway (from UK)

Direct from Taoyuan International Airport to Jiaosi:

Traveling time from Taoyuan International Airport to Taipei and from Taipei to Jiaosi is 40 minutes and 70 minutes respectively.

By Taxi

There are two alternatives for you to choose from Taoyuan International Airport to Jiaosi. One is to take a taxi at the airport and direct to Jiaosi. A typical taxi fare from the airport to Jiaosi is approx. NT$2,400 during day time and NT2,500 between midnight and 06:00 AM. You may arrange airport pick up by contacting Mr. Cheng. By Bus

The other alternative is to take Evergreen Bus at the airport and direct to Taipei; and get off the bus at Zhong Xiao Fuxing MRT Station. The bus fee for one adult is NT$135. You may take Muzha Line at Zhong Xiao Fuxing MRT Station to Technology Building MRT Station when you arrive in Taipei. After you leave the entry of the station at ground floor, you can walk across Section 2, Fuxing South Road and see Kamalan Bus Station (No 202, Sec 2, Fuxing South Rd.) at you right hand side. The bus fee from Taipei to Jiaosi for one adult is NT$104 and NT$168 for return tickets. Kamalan Bus is running every 10 minutes for 24 hours.
