After finish this journey to America, I think I learned a lot of things from this trip. The most important thing to me is that I can speak English in front of other people. In America, I faced a lot of situations that forced me to use my English to communicate with other, at first I still felt very nervous about that, I can’t image how embarrassing I will be if American can’t understand what I’m talking about, but I found out that if I can’t relax myself to

speak, that will make my English more difficult to understand. And I thought the same situation in Taiwan, if there is a foreigner talk to me with a very strange Chinese, will I laugh at him? No! No way! Because I know that Chinese is not their mother language, so if they talk to me, I must think that he is so brave to talk to a Taiwanese, so I think no matter how my grammar is bad, American will never laugh at me, because English is not my mother language. And that belief improves me to talk to more people in America.

And the second harvest I gained from America is that I made a lot of friends in there. In the UWest, we met a lot of people that came from different country, include Chinese, Korea, Japan…, and we just live near by the Korean, so we started our friendship with Korean. Although our language is different, but we still like to talk to each other in English, and also because that, I began to get interest in Korea, I even asked them teach me a little Korean to me, and I promise to them, if I have opportunities, I must visit Korea once in my life.

If there is something I want to suggest, I think I want to suggest that school should not add another group suddenly and without any notice, though that makes me make more friends during the trip, but I think I lost more chance to speak English, because all the day when we went to classes, there’s all Taiwanese or Chinese, so we don’t have to worry about the language, then we just talk Chinese to each other, and actually we don’t speak a lot of English.

In conclusion, I think I got a lot of memories in America, I am so glad that I have that opportunity to go to America, or maybe I will stay in Taiwan all my life, so thanks all the people who helped me in all the journey, thanks a lot!
